Success is sweeter when you work hard for it, working your way from the bottom to the top. This has been the journey of La Regia Taqueria. Our humble beginnings inspired us to work harder and be better at preparing delicious and authentic Mexican food.

How we started

La Regia Taqueria. As our name suggests, we are a restaurant that specializes in delicious tacos. Our name is a throwback to our first foray into the food business: We invested in a food truck and served tacos on the streets of Iowa.

Mobility brought us closer to our customers, and it suited our young business. However, our dream was always to open a restaurant where our customers could sit together with their family and friends, all of them enjoying a mouthwatering spread of Mexican dishes. After two years of serving Mexican food from our trusty taco truck, we made that dream a reality.

Our restaurant is the product of years of diligence and persistence. Having achieved this goal, we looked forward to setting a new one: Making La Regia Taqueria the restaurant Iowans go to whenever they crave Mexican food.

We expanded our menu to include other popular Mexican comfort food, like burritos, tortas, and quesadillas. Customers can now enjoy hearty combo dishes featuring favorites, like fried and saucy meats, rice, and beans. Our vegetarian and seafood menus soon followed. We also offer a catering service and taco trucks for events and parties.

Authentic, from the Food to the Ambience

We want diners to walk out of our establishment feeling happy, full, and looking forward to their next visit. Furthermore, we believe that authentic flavors and a vibrant atmosphere go together in giving customers the best Mexican food experience.
